Man arrested for assault with a weapon
On Monday night, the Boone County Sheriff responded to a call at the 1300 block of Millbrook Court for an assault with a weapon, stated a press release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
Columbia resident, Eric P. Douglas was arrested for the unlawful use of a weapon. According to the press release, Douglas threatened others with a sword and injured one. The injured victim was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Douglas was detained without incident and his bond was set at $4500 for his charge, the press release stated.
