Promotional Ceremony to be held on Monday
Columbia Police Department Deputy Chief Tom Dresner will be honored in a promotional ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, a CPD news release stated.
The event will take place in City Hall on 701 East Broadway.
Dresner was Interim Chief of Police before being appointed to the rank of Deputy Chief by Chief Kenneth Burton on April 22, 2009, the news release stated.
Dresner has worked for CPD for 24 years and also served 20 years on the department's SWAT team.
