MU quarterback defends arrest
Missouri freshman quarterback Blaine Dalton defended his arrest over the weekend by talking to the Blue Springs Examiner, according to an post on the Columbia Daily Tribune's Behind the Strips blog.

Dalton, who was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, minor in possession of alcohol, traffic charges and possession false identification said in the article that he was not intoxicated and was not selling pills.
Dalton said the police found an unopened beer in the glove compartment and that the pills belonged to a friend who had had shoulder surgery last September. He said his friend, Zach Wilson, left the pills in his car before a Missouri spring scrimmage. Wilson said he put the pills in the glove compartment since at the time he was wearing shorts with no pockets.
