Suspect arrested for drugs, DWI
The Boone County Sheriff's Department arrested a man on Tuesday for driving while intoxicated and discovered 110 grams of marijuana, a Sheriff's department news release stated.
According to the news release, Terry Avery, 58, of Harrisburg, was driving erratically while traveling north on Route J from Highway 40 when a deputy sheriff stopped him.
After searching the vehicle, deputies discovered over 110 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun, the news release stated. The suspect was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a weapon.
Avery was released from the Boone County Jail after posting a $6,000 bond, the news release stated.
