New chief chosen for Boone County Fire Protection District
Scott Olsen was chosen as the Boone County Fire District's permanent chief on Wednesday, stated a post by the Columbia Daily-Tribune.

Olsen took the role of interim chief for the Boone County Fire Protection District 11 months ago after the forced resignation of long-time chief Steve Paulsell in November.
The fire district's board of directors voted 3-2 in an open meeting, choosing Olsen over the other finalist, Kenneth Craft Jr., an assistant fire chief in Florida. Twenty people attended the meeting.
